2012 Five Star Lawn Service Terms and Conditions
Spring Cleanup
Service includes dethatching of turf with a power sweeper, cleaning leaves out of landscaped areas with backpack blowers, and a one time mowing. Plus the removal of collected debris from property (service does not include removal of pine needles). Price increases if a Fall Cleanup was not preformed.
Power Edging
Service includes removing all grass that has overgrown concrete with a gas powered edger to create a clean edge from grass to concrete.
Weekly Lawn Service
Service includes weekly mowing and line trimming of the turf; plus picking up any trash and blowing off driveways, sidewalks and patios. The base price is set according to a weekly mowing schedule.
Gutter Cleaning
Service includes the gutters and down spouts being cleared of all leaves and debris.
Shrub Shaping/ Pruning
Shrubs should be trimmed two times a year, while shrub pruning should only be done once every two years, if need be. This service includes shaping or cut back of shrubs, as well as the removal of collected debris.
Aeration
Service is a mechanical process that removes plugs of soil from the turf (plugs are left on the turf and will gradually break down and return to soil). Aerate means “to supply soil with air”. The benefits of aeration are: it improves the growth rate of grass and roots. This adds strength and health to the durability of the grass, it increases ability of water and fertilizer to penetrate to grass roots, it increases grass’s ability to withstand low moisture situations and heat stress. Bacteria within the soil can break down and decompose the layer of thatch. Aeration increases the soils ability to hold large amounts of moisture by preventing water run-off. Five Star Lawn Service is not reliable for damage to unmarked sprinkler heads and/or improperly buried underground sprinkler systems and/or cables, wires, etc.
Fall Cleanup
Service includes removal of leaves from turf and landscaped areas using a combination of blowing, raking, and mowing, as well as removal of collected debris from the property.
Snow Removal
Service includes removal of snow from driveway, sidewalk and steps using a combination of snow plow, snow blower as well as shovels. Snow will be removed once we receive a two inch minimum. Price is based on a per time rate. Salt/sand can also be applied to steps/ sidewalks and driveways for an additional fee upon request. We also offer a monthly service but different rates apply. Please allow up to 10 hours after the final flakes have fallen for total snow removal.
Landscaping
We offer many different kinds of landscaping from full existing landscape tear outs to full installs. Some of the things we offer but are not limited too are: hardscaping, edging, bullet edgers, retaining walls, tree installs, shrub installs, rock, dirt and seeding, mulch, sod installation, water features, fire pits, swing sets and playgrounds.
Miscellaneous
We also offer: tree trimming, brush pile removal, firewood removal, pretty much all your lawn care needs!
